Guide: Your personal online access to your medical images and reports

Dear Patients, To provide you with the fastest, most modern, and secure access to your examination data, Radiologicum provides your medical image data (DICOM) as well as the written radiology report exclusively and once only via our secure online portal. On this page, we explain step by step how you can access your data and answer the most important questions regarding data protection and availability periods.

How to access your data

When leaving our practice, you received a personal information sheet with a direct link.

Step 1: Access the portal

  • On a computer/laptop/smartphone/tablet: Open your web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Edge) and enter the short link printed on the information sheet (e.g. to.radiologicum.ch/kY3vAr) directly into the address bar.

Step 2: Log in (password)

  • Enter your date of birth as the password in the format DD.MM.YYYY (including dots, e.g. 15.08.1987).

Step 3: View & download your data

  • 📷 Images: Your images are available in the portal immediately after the examination.
  • 📄 Radiology report: The report will be automatically activated in the same portal access after 5 working days. You can then download the official PDF document directly or print it.
  • ⏱️ Validity: For security reasons, your personal access key remains active for 180 days from the date of your examination. Please save your images and report on your own devices within this period.

Frequently Asked Questions & Important Notes (FAQ)

1. Why is the radiology report only made available after 5 working days?

A radiology report is a complex medical document containing specialised medical terminology.
  • Direct transmission to your doctor: Your referring physician receives the report directly after it has been completed by our radiologists. They therefore have access to the results significantly earlier than via the portal.
  • Patient safety: The 5-day waiting period gives your treating physician sufficient time to review and analyse the findings and to discuss the next steps in your treatment with you personally and without misunderstandings.
  • For a timely discussion of your results, please contact your referring medical practice directly.

2. Why do we not send reports by email?

🔒 IMPORTANT DATA PROTECTION NOTICE: According to the Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA), we are required to protect your particularly sensitive health data according to the highest security standards. Unencrypted private email accounts (e.g. Gmail, GMX, Bluewin, etc.) do not meet these legal requirements. For this reason, sending reports to private email addresses is strictly excluded by our systems and organisational procedures. We kindly ask for your understanding that our practice staff are not permitted to make exceptions.

3. What happens if I have lost my link?

The information sheet provided to you is your personal access key. If you lose this document, your data cannot simply be requested again by telephone or via an unencrypted email due to data protection and identification requirements. In this case, formal proof of identity is required. A replacement document can only be collected personally at our practice.

4. Does the practice provide technical support for my device?

⚠️ NOTICE REGARDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Our medical practice staff are unable to provide technical support for the use of your personal devices (smartphones, tablets, computers, browser settings).
  • Are you experiencing problems with your device? For technical questions regarding web access, please contact a technically experienced person in your personal network.
